Drive has awarded Honda Australia’s all-new sixth generation CR-V VTi L as the 2024 Drive Car of the Year’s Best Medium SUV under $50k.
Drive Car of the Year is an annual awards program, showcasing and celebrating the best new cars in the Australian market and has been running for the past 18 years.
The newest vehicles launched into the Australian market were tested across a total of 19 categories. Each of the vehicles were stacked up against a rigorous and exacting testing procedure.
This year, Honda Australia is incredibly honoured to take home Drive Car of the Year in the ‘Best Medium SUV under 50k’ category, with the new generation CR-V VTi L, at $48,800* drive away.
Drive’s Director of Content, Mr. James Ward said, "The new Honda CR-V brings a trusted brand back to the peak of family practicality, functionality and quality. It's a car that ticks all the right boxes for Australian families in 2024 and proves that Honda is well and truly back in the game."
The sixth-generation Honda CR-V has been designed with families in mind, offering the perfect balance of spaciousness, performance, handling, technology, and safety. The all-new CR-V is perfect for day-to-day activities and weekend escapes, with a sophisticated design inside and out.
The all-new CR-V is the most recent launch of new generation models for Honda in Australia. Following the shift to the Agency and One Price Promise, this award is another milestone that demonstrates Honda’s commitment to quality products and meeting the needs of customers in Australia.
“This is an amazing achievement for the brand and for the all-new CR-V” said Honda Australia Director Ms. Carolyn McMahon. “The Honda CR-V nameplate is synonymous with family SUV’s, with a long-standing reputation for spaciousness, reliability and value for money.”
