Honda Australia was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with Daniel Ricciardo, ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.
Starting at Hampton Beach in Melbourne’s East, comedian Ed Kavalee was introduced to Ricciardo as his driver and co-star for the afternoon in the award-winning Honda CR-V e:HEV RS.
The pair spent the next hour discussing all things Honda, Daniel’s return to F1 and being back in Australia while driving to Maribyrnong Ultra Car Wash. Upon arrival, Daniel was surprised with a display of three classic 1990’s Honda Type R’s which were kindly organized by the Honda Car Club of Victoria.
After the quick stop, Ed and Dan made their way to the Honda Australia head office where they hijacked the company meeting and surprised the Honda staff with a Q&A and meet and greet opportunity. As expected, the questions lead by Ed Kavelee had the Honda Australia staff laughing, and Dan’s presence in the office generated overwhelming excitement for the race weekend ahead in Melbourne.
