Throughout the 2024 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia season, Honda Australia and Tony D’Alberto have partnered up to create awareness and show support for Starlight Children’s Foundation, and all of the amazing work they do for seriously ill children and their families.
Starlight Children's Foundation works closely with health professionals to bring fun and laughter that is essential to sick kids' health and well being. The Starlight Express Room is a medical-free haven in children’s hospitals around the country, where sick kids and their families can seek a welcome break from the relentless cycle of medical treatments and procedures.
Tony D’Alberto recently took some time away from the track to visit some sick kids at the Starlight Express Rooms at Monash and Royal Children’s Hospital, putting his racing skills to the test through a Mario Kart 'race off'.
"It was an inspiring experience to be able to see the Starlight Express Rooms for myself and to see the impact that Captain Starlight makes to the children and all of the fun activities on offer." Said Tony. "I had some tough competition on the Mario Kart circuit but had a lot of fun competing against some of the best."
Honda Australia’s charitable trust, The Honda Foundation has supported Starlight Children's Foundation for many years, proudly providing funds to support their wonderful initiatives.
"We are thrilled to work with Starlight and Tony throughout the 2024 TCR season to create more Joy for children and awareness for this wonderful organisation" said Honda Australia’s Vice President, Carolyn McMahon.
