Drive Car of the Year Awards is one of Australia’s most anticipated annual celebrations of automotive excellence, spotlighting the best new cars on the market.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of these awards recognising and celebrating the vehicles that set the bar for performance, innovation, and design.
The Civic e:HEV L award adds to Honda’s recent success in the Drive Car of the Year categories, with the CR-V VTi L winning best medium SUV under $50k in 2023, and the Civic Type R winning best performance car under $60k in 2017.
Drive’s judges revealed "The hybrid Civic earned its win thanks to its incredibly refined petrol-electric powertrain, high level of cabin quality, and low ongoing running costs."
Building on the Civic nameplates over 50 years of heritage in Australia, the newly updated model blends strong performance and efficiency with improved levels of interior comfort and technological advancements.
